Animated video used at industry show and online, selling gambling marketing applications
Thunderbite create bespoke promotional campaigns and applications for the gambling industry. This includes things like an online wheel of fortune for example, where the user spins a wheel to have the chance of winning a prize. A scratchcard where the user scratches squares to reveal a prize or a slot machine where they pull the lever.
Their clients include William Hill, Mecca Bingo and Ladbrokes.
Thunderbite commissioned us to create a promotional video to explain their services and reach out to potential new clients. The brief was to give an overview of their key selling points, what they offer, and give a general introduction to their company. The video was used on loop at a trade show, as well as on their website and social media.
After the initial consultation and discussion of the key project parameters, the first port of call was to create a storyboard. This details the flow of the animation, what’s happening in each scene and what’s being said (the script is shown in the blue boxes in the storyboard on the right).
Next we created the custom graphical elements – which in this case included a series of staff profile characters based on their real-world likeness.
The true spade work begins when we start the animation process itself. A big feature of this particular piece, was the way we had many of the scenes seamlessly flow from one to the next. Bullet points turning into a wheel of fortune, a football turning into a roulette table.
Sprinkle over the voice over, a backing track and a smattering of sound effects, and hey presto!
